Destroyed by fire in 1297, the church was rebuilt during the first half of the 14th century, and rebuilt again following the earthquake of 1356. Used 1799-1815 as a warehouse for fruit and salt. Converted for use as a shop in 1843 by Christoph Riggenbach (1810-63). 1890-94 establishment of the Historische Museum (Historical Museum), and choir vaults.
