A large Gothic chapel belonging to the Safran Guild (Safranzunft) once stood on the present day Andreasplatz (Andreas Square). After the Reformation the building was used as a warehouse. In the 18th century, at the request of owners of the adjacent properties, it was demolished. However, the foundations remain outlined in cobble stones.
