The house "Zur Rheinlust" located in Oberen Rheinweg, which from 1844 to 1886 was the home of Prof. Christian Friedrich Schönbein, the discoverer of ozone and gun cotton, has a plaque showing the levels reached by the River Rhine in Kleinbasel during a variety of floods.
