Adjacent to the older church in the 12th century, establishment of an Augustinian Foundation at the corner of the city fortifications. Extended in 1356 by the Knight Hüglin von Schöneck.
Named after the employers (Lohnherren) who occupied the building after 1669, the administrators of the city's construction works. 1835-1995 prison, various alterations and additional buildings, inter alia 1852-55, 1897. 1996-2000 converted into residential apartments, the Music Museum (Musikmuseum) and hotel.
