To complement the existing historical tours of the Old Town, a new virtual city tour with 3D effects is now available under www.basel.ch. The virtual stroll through the city begins at Centralbahnplatz and ends at Badischen Bahnhof. Click on the 3D-spectacles on the right - and enjoy the sights!

The tour consists of a total of 15 360-degree panoramic images, leading from Centralbahnplatz to Badischen Bahnhof. A particular highlight of the tour is the panoramic view from the top of the Münster tower, with 3D-effects. The cyber city Basel also includes panoramic views aboard the Basel Münster ferry, from the Mittlere Brücke, Marktplatz, Aeschenplatz and Messeplatz, as well as a view of Spalentor and other interesting sights.
3D-specs for 3D-effects
3-D spectacles are needed to experience the 3D-effect. These are available for a token sum of CHF 0.50 from the Hotel and Tourist Information Office at the Stadtcasino on Barfüsserplatz.
