St. Alban Gate (St. Albantor)

The St. Alban Gate (St. Albantor) is the only section remaining of the last and largest city fortification of 1400. Heavy posts can still be seen underneath the arch of the gate, next to the heavy wooden doors. In times of danger, these were lowered in order to block the entrance to the city.
