The Archäologischen Park (Archaeological Park) located in Rittergasse has illuminated panels set into the ground, revealing over 2000 years of Basel history. It was here that the Celts from the Rauriker Tribe, who settled on the Münsterhügel (Minster Mount), built typical Celtic city fortifications around the year 40 BC.
