Emphases are on the work of Joseph Beuys, Bruce Nauman, Rosemarie Trockel, Jeff Wall and contemporary American art (Robert Gober, Elizabeth Peyton, and Matthew Barney). Since 1971, the museum has been collecting video art in addition to the classical media. At regular intervals, the museum presents special exhibitions and educational events for schoolchildren as well as adults.
